21. The Doctrine of The Family
21. The Doctrine of The Family.Genesis 2:24; Proverbs 22:6; 1 Timothy 5:8 KJV The family is God’s first institution, established in the Garden of Eden when man and woman were united as one flesh (Genesis 2:24). Scripture teaches that the home is the foundation of society and the church, designed by God for companionship, child-rearing, and spiritual nurture. Parents are commanded to train their children in the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6), shaping their hearts for the Lord. At the same time, believers are called to provide for and protect their households (1 Timothy 5:8), recognizing that neglecting family responsibility undermines the witness of the faith. In every generation, the family is under attack from sin and culture, yet God’s design remains the same. A Christ-centered home becomes a testimony of love, faith, and obedience to God. As families walk in His truth, they not only secure blessing for themselves but also strengthen the church and impact the world. The family is God’s blueprint for life, discipleship, and legacy—meant to reflect His covenant love and to pass on faith to the next generation.
