14.The Doctrine of Evangelism and Missions “If the gospel is the best news in the world, why are so many Christians hesitant to share it?”This lesson explores the biblical call and responsibility of every Christian to boldly share the gospel, emphasizing three key points:I. The Command of Evangelism(Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 1:8)Jesus clearly commands His followers to go and make disciples of all nations. Evangelism is not a suggestion or a calling for a few — it is a direct command from Christ to every believer.II. The Message of Evangelism(Romans 10:13–15)The gospel message is both simple and powerful: salvation through Jesus Christ for all who call on His name. However, people cannot believe unless they first hear — and that hearing depends on those willing to be sent and to speak.III. The Mission of Evangelism(Acts 1:8)The church’s mission is global: to take the good news to the ends of the earth. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, Christians are to be witnesses in their own communities and to the nations. The lesson also highlights several key truths:Evangelism flows out of love — love for God and love for people.A Christian’s lifestyle should reflect the gospel. Our words are powerful, but they are most effective when backed by a life of integrity, service, and compassion.Lifestyle evangelism shows the gospel in action — in how we work, raise our families, and interact with the world around us.Missions and evangelism must be done with respect and sensitivity, motivated by the steadfast love Sharing the gospel is not a burden; it’s the response of Gods love.
