Peacemakers
Peacemakers Matthew 5:9 (KJV) The Book of Matthew teaches us that God did not call us to just avoid problems or pretend everything is okay. God called us to be peacemakers. A peacemaker is someone who brings healing, reconciliation, forgiveness, and truth into broken situations. Real peace is not running from conflict—it is handling conflict God’s way. That means when we choose peace over pride, forgiveness over revenge, and grace over anger, we reflect the heart of our Heavenly Father. This lesson shows the difference between peacemakers and peacekeepers. Peacekeepers avoid problems to keep things quiet, but peacemakers deal with issues in love so true healing can happen. God wants us to stop spreading division, gossip, bitterness, and strife, and instead become people who bring unity and restoration. The Bible teaches us in Psalm 34:14 (KJV)”Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.”Peace is something we must pursue daily. It takes humility, patience, self-control, and spiritual maturity. Sometimes it means apologizing first. Sometimes it means walking away from arguments. Sometimes it means refusing to react in anger even when others mistreat us.The message reminds us that peace starts in our hearts before it ever reaches our homes, churches, jobs, or communities.Romans 12:18 (KJV) says:”If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.”God holds us responsible for our attitude, our actions, and our response—not the behavior of others. We cannot control everybody else, but we can choose to walk in wisdom, grace, and peace.True heavenly wisdom is described in James 3:17 (KJV) as being:”Pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy.
