Nobody’s There…And That’s…
Nobody’s There…And That’s The Good News. Matthew 28:5-6 KJV The greatest news ever announced was not that Jesus was in the tomb—it was that He was not there. The women came to a grave expecting death, sorrow, and heartbreak. Instead, they found an empty tomb and heard the greatest words in history: “He is not here: for he is risen.” This message is built around one life-changing truth: Jesus Christ is alive. Because He rose from the dead, fear can be replaced with faith, doubt can be replaced with certainty, and death can be replaced with hope. The world has many famous graves, but only one tomb is empty. On that first Easter morning, the stone was rolled away, not to let Jesus out, but to let the world see that He was already gone. The empty tomb declares that death has been defeated, sin has been conquered, and salvation is available to all who will believe. The good news is not that somebody was there—the good news is that nobody was there. Jesus is alive, and because He lives, there is hope for every person and every situation.
