Trusting God When Nothing Ma..
Trusting God When Nothing Makes Sense. Matt. 11:1-11 KJV In Matthew 11, we find John the Baptist in a place many believers know all too well—a place of confusion. The same man who boldly declared Jesus as the Lamb of God now sits in prison, sending word to ask, “Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?” (v.3). Even the strongest servants of God can experience moments when circumstances don’t align with expectations.John’s question was not born of rebellion, but of hardship. From a dark prison cell, the promises he once proclaimed did not seem to match his present reality. Yet Jesus did not rebuke him. Instead, He pointed to the evidence of fulfilled prophecy—the blind receiving sight, the lame walking, the gospel preached to the poor. Christ reassured John that God was still at work, even when it didn’t look the way John expected. In verse 6, Jesus says, “And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.” The blessing comes to those who continue to trust Him when His ways are mysterious. Faith is not proven when everything is clear—it is strengthened when we hold on while walking through uncertainty. This message reminds us that trusting God does not mean we always understand Him. It means we believe His character when we cannot trace His plan. When life feels confusing, prayers seem unanswered, and circumstances seem unfair, we are called to stand firm in faith, confident that God’s purposes are higher than our perspective.Even in seasons of doubt, discouragement, or delay, Jesus is still the One who was promised. And blessed are those who keep trusting Him—especially when nothing makes sense.
