Before the Door of Grace Closes. Gen. 6:5;7:16 KJV Imagine standing before a massive door — weathered, ancient, and creaking on its hinges. Behind it lies safety, salvation, and the promise of life. But outside that door, the storm clouds are gathering. Thunder rumbles, raindrops begin to fall, and in the distance, judgment is rolling in like a flood. You hear the voice of God saying, “Come into the ark.”For one hundred and twenty years, Noah preached mercy. Every hammer strike against the ark’s wood echoed God’s invitation: “There’s still room! The door is open!” But then, “the LORD shut him in.” (Genesis 7:16) And once that door closed, no amount of knocking could open it again.We live in a day just like Noah’s — a world drowning in wickedness, blinded by pride, and deaf to God’s warnings. Yet even now, the door of grace stands open through Jesus Christ. But soon — perhaps sooner than we think — that door will close again.This message is a solemn reminder and a merciful warning:There was a day before the door closed — when God’s patience waited.There was a day when the door closed — when judgment fell.And there is still deliverance beyond the door — for those who run to Christ while mercy is still available.Friend, the sound of that ancient door still echoes through time.
