VBS Lesson 1: God Wins the B..
VBS Lesson 1: God Wins the Battle. Campers learned one of the most exciting stories in the Bible—the story of Gideon and his 300 soldiers. Faced with an enemy army far larger than their own, Gideon discovered that God’s power is not limited by numbers, strength, or human ability.God intentionally reduced Gideon’s army from 32,000 men to only 300 so that Israel would know the victory came from the Lord and not from themselves. Armed with trumpets, empty pitchers, and torches instead of swords and spears, Gideon’s small army obeyed God’s instructions and watched Him perform a miraculous victory. This lesson taught campers that God often uses unlikely people and unexpected methods to accomplish His purposes. The world measures success by strength, popularity, and ability, but God delights in using ordinary people who trust Him by faith.Just as Gideon learned to depend upon God’s strength, we must learn that our weaknesses do not limit God. In fact, God’s power is often displayed most clearly when we realize we cannot do it on our own.The central truth of the lesson was simple:
God’s strength shows best in our weakness.
No problem is too big for God.
No obstacle is too difficult for God.
No person is too small for God to use.
When we trust Him, obey Him, and follow His direction, God can accomplish far more through us than we could ever imagine.
