Try Me and Know Me
Try Me and Know Me. Psalm 139:23-24 KJV David’s prayer in Psalm 139 is more than words—it is an invitation for God to shine His holy light into the deepest chambers of the heart. Unlike human eyes that see only the surface, God knows our motives, thoughts, and secret struggles. To pray “try me” is to open ourselves to His refining fire, trusting that His testing is not to destroy but to purify.
Every believer must face the reality that hidden sins, unchecked attitudes, or unnoticed pride can keep us from walking fully in the “way everlasting.” Yet, God’s love is not condemning—it is correcting. Just as a skilled surgeon cuts to heal, the Lord reveals what is wrong so He can lead us into what is right.Today’s prayer should echo David’s: “Lord, search me, test me, cleanse me, and lead me.” When we yield our hearts to God’s inspection, He redirects our steps, strengthens our spirit, and guides us into the path of life that never ends.
• Ask God to reveal hidden sins or attitudes that need repentance.
• Trust His testing as part of His love and guidance.
• Walk confidently in the everlasting way, knowing He leads with grace.God is not looking to condemn you — He’s looking to cleanse you. Ask Him to reveal areas in your life that need His touch, and then yield to His leading.
