The Holy Scriptures 2 Tim. 3:14-15We are living in perilous times, in an increasingly unhappy world. The further people move from God and God’s Word, the more miserable they are going to be. People are trying every vanity in this world to gain happiness, plunging in again and again and coming up empty.There is no true fulfillment outside of knowing Jesus Christ and living a life of obedience to Him. The term “holy scriptures” is used in reference to the Bible. The word “scriptures” means “writings.” These are not just writings; these are the holy writings of God. When we hold the Bible in our hands, we are holding the Holy Scriptures.Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.Ps. 119:89
