Easter reminds us of the incredible and monumental rescue that took place over 2000 years ago. Since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, we have needed the rescuing hand of God to deliver us from evil and sin. This Easter series is to remind us of how God has been rescuing us since the beginning. From David and Goliath, Daniel, Jonah and countless other stories, God’s love for us was ultimately displayed when he sent Jesus Christ to die for us on the cross, only to be risen from the dead so that we may be saved.

No one is too far gone or too lost to be rescued by Christ. We don’t have to live under the burden of past mistakes because God’s love and forgiveness is everlasting. Rescued people are used by God to rescue others. Because God is a God who raises people from the dead, we have hope—not just for our eternal state with God but hope now, in the abundant life God gives. Do you have a secure hope that is unwavering, no matter your circumstances? Happiness is a temporary feeling that goes up and down depending on their circumstances. but Joy is fixed and based on a relationship with Jesus Christ. The Joy of the Lord is My strength
