Upon reaching land, the disciples find Jesus preparing a meal of fish and bread. This simple act of hospitality signifies Jesus’ continued care and provision for his followers. As they gather around him, Jesus engages Peter in a conversation that carries profound significance. Three times Jesus asks Peter if he loves him, each time instructing him to feed his sheep.
