Tailspin to Tragedy Judges 2:1-23Life continues to get worse for Israel because of their disobedience to the Lord. There is no excuse for disobedience to God. Our inability is never an excuse when God gives the command. The only thing worse than failure from disobedience is trying to excuse it. You are responsible! Don’t blame someone else or plead ignorance. God has promised to never break His covenant with His people. The Lord reminds them of His faithfulness. He is more or less asking, “Why can’t you be faithful to me?”The repetitious cycle of the book of Judges is given here. It reveals that compromise with evil leads to a tailspin to tragedy.
