He’s already prayed that:The Holy Spirit would strengthen and empower us; Christ would dwell and be at home in our lives; We would increasingly comprehend and experience God’s love. Paul knew God would answer his prayer. And whatever we think the answer to this prayer looks like, the way God answers goes far beyond what we can imagine!The last phrase Paul used to describe God’s power—the power that worketh in us. When we invite Jesus to live in us and allow the Holy Spirit to fill us, then God’s power truly works in us and through us to enable us to trust and obey God and to serve Him and others. What can we do to regularly tap into the Spirit’s power? We may be tempted to spiritual pride in falsely believing we are farther along than others. We may suffer as a result of others committing sin against us. God may also use suffering to help us develop perseverance. Remember, you have the immeasurable power of God’s Holy Spirit in your life—turn to Him for help!
