Jonah 1:1-5 Bible Study_01
Jonah 1:1-5 Bible Study When God speaks, it is absolutely essential that we listen. Many voices cry out to us today in an attempt to pull us away from the will of God. Failure to hear and obey God’s voice spells disaster every time. Obedience brings God’s blessing in our lives while disobedience to the will of God results in disaster. Every Christian needs to understand that God has a plan for every person’s life. Each Christian need to identify the personal rebellion that is a part of our sinful human nature. As we go through the storms of life. We need realize that our disobedience has a negative ramification on others, as well as on ourselves. I want to encourage all believers to make decisions that will form a pattern of obedience to the will of God. Jonah Understood God’s Request, but He Would Not Accept It. He Chose to Run from God’s Presence. God Sends a Storm. God Singles Out Jonah for the ultimate test of his faith. God’s Grace Invites Us to Participate in Something Greater Than Ourselves. God’s Grace Enables Us to Live in Joyful Obedience to God’s Word. Neglecting your calling is an indicator that you need to return to God.
