When Doing God’s Work is Int..
When Doing God’s Work is Interrupted. Acts 16:4-15 (KJV)When God interrupts your ministry, will you see it as a setback—or a divine redirection? This lesson looks at Paul’s second missionary journey, where godly plans were unexpectedly halted. Instead of discouragement, Paul discovered that God’s interruptions were actually God’s guidance. Ministry interruptions often open doors we would never have chosen, leading to greater fruit and deeper impact.1.When God Closes a Door, He Opens Another(Acts 16:6–10)Paul and his companions were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach in certain places. What seemed like a shut door became the doorway to Macedonia through a clear vision from God. Sometimes God interrupts even good plans to steer us toward His better ones.2.Inconvenience Can Lead to Impact(Acts 16:11–12)Traveling to Macedonia wasn’t part of the original plan, and the journey was anything but convenient. Yet this unexpected detour positioned the team exactly where God wanted them. Interruptions that feel inconvenient may be the very moments God uses to place us where ministry is most needed.3.Fruitfulness Follows Faithful Obedience(Acts 16:13–15When Paul obediently followed God’s redirection, he met Lydia—a woman whose open heart became the catalyst for the first church in Europe. What began as an interruption became a moment of lasting spiritual fruit. Faithfulness in the unexpected often leads to God-sized results. When our ministry plans are interrupted, God is often redirecting us toward greater purpose. Closed doors, inconvenient detours, and unexpected moments can all become opportunities for impact when we follow Him in faithful obedience.
