Our family watches. Our neighbors watch. Our coworkers watch. Our community watches. Paul thanked God because the believers at Colosse had a testimony that reached people before Paul ever met them. Their faith in Jesus Christ, their love for God’s people, and the fruit of the Gospel made their lives a living sermon. Colossians chapter 1, verses 4–6 remind us that a genuine Christian life cannot stay hidden—it will produce fruit that others can see. Colossians chapter 1, verses 7–8 shows that Epaphras had earned a reputation as “a faithful minister of Christ,” proving that a godly reputation is built one faithful day at a time. The question for every believer is simple: When people see your life, do they see Jesus? Your reputation is already preaching a message. Make sure it points people to the Savior before you ever speak His name.People are reading your life long before they read your Bible.
