God’s promise was fulfilled, and the boy’s eyes were opened, and all became peace with her.We ourselves are sometimes on the receiving end of the most amazing kinds of miracles. No doubt we’ve all witnessed one or two.We’re also on the receiving end of an even greater miracle: the fulfillment of God’s promises in our daily lives. Including the promise we’re looking at today. The promise of peace.God is not playing games with you when he promises shalom. It’s yours to experience when you put yourself in a position to receive it. Every thought you think takes you either in the direction of peace, or the direction of turmoil. To experience the peace that God has in store for you, you need to take control of your thoughts and move them in his direction. One thought at a time. And that’s where you keep your mind — stayed on him. And his peace will certainly follow.After Elisha had earnestly sought God, the child “sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes”. He was resurrected! He came back to life! And it was all associated with some very earnest private prayer.What an encouragement this is to our prayer life. How it puts value on our private praying. The world gives little time, attention, and honor to private prayer. But the Bible upholds it as the source of great victory.Is it Time to Reset the Rhythm of Your Life?God has the power to meet our needs. But there is a condition: we must seek first the kingdom of God.
