THE OUTPOURING.Joel 2:28; Acts 2:16–17 (KJV) “Today…what Joel promised has begun to unfold before your eyes.” More than eight centuries later, on the Day of Pentecost, Peter stood before the crowd and declared, “This is that,” pointing to the fulfillment of Joel’s prophecy.This message explores how God’s promises are always fulfilled according to His perfect timing and how the outpouring of the Holy Spirit marked the birth of the New Testament Church.
We will examine the promise of the Spirit, the fulfillment of that promise at Pentecost, and the believer’s responsibility to walk daily in the Spirit’s power. Because when God repeats His Word, He is confirming His truth, revealing His Son, and calling every generation to respond in faith and obedience.
God’s promises never fail, and the same Holy Spirit who empowered the early Church still empowers believers today to glorify Christ and proclaim the Gospel.
