First, we were reminded of a truth that must be revisited (John 13:34). Love is not optional for the believer, nor is it defined by culture. Jesus gave a new commandment—that we love one another as He has loved us. His love sets the standard, reshaping how we view relationships, forgiveness, and obedience.Second, we were challenged by a love that must be displayed (John 13:34). Christlike love is not hidden or theoretical; it is lived out in action, sacrifice, and humility.
