DON’T OVERLOOK THE LITTLE THINGS. [When Small Things Become Precious] Zechariah 4:10 KJV The wreck of the Civil War blockade runner Georgiana presents an unusual picture. Among military cargo such as rifles, ammunition, and artillery projectiles were thousands of ordinary items—including buttons and pins. During a wartime blockade, however, ordinary necessities could become extraordinarily valuable.Church, sometimes we become so impressed with the rifles that we overlook the buttons. We notice the spectacular. God notices the seemingly insignificant. The candlestick tells me God wants His light to shine. The olive trees tell me God supplies the oil. Zerubbabel tells me God uses ordinary hands. The plummet tells me little tools can be part of a great work. The seven eyes tell me God sees what everybody else overlooks.Don’t wait until something is gone to discover what it was worth.]
