Where Are You Going When the Earth Is Destroyed?This study explores the promise of a new heaven and a new earth as revealed in Revelation 21:1-4. It begins with a description of the old heaven and earth passing away, replaced by a perfect, eternal dwelling for God’s people. The New Jerusalem, a city prepared as a bride adorned for her husband, symbolizes the union between God and His people.We reflect on the profound hope found in verse 4: “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” This passage reassures believers of a future free from the pain and suffering of this fallen world.Through this study, participants are challenged to consider their eternal destiny and how their relationship with Christ determines their place in God’s new creation. The time emphasizes the urgency of living with eternity in mind and encourages believers to find hope and purpose in the promises of God.
