THE DAY YOUR SECRET CATCHES UP WITH YOU.[YOU CAN RUN—BUT YOUR SIN KNOWS YOUR ADDRESS!] Numbers 32:23 KJV Moses gave Israel one of Scripture’s most sobering warnings: “Be sure your sin will find you out.” Sin may be hidden from family, friends, the church, and the preacher, but it can never be hidden from God. Through David’s concealed adultery, Achan’s buried treasure, Peter’s denial, and the Bible’s law of sowing and reaping, this message examines the reality, secrecy, certainty, and discovery of sin. Yet the message ends with hope: we do not have to wait for hidden sin to destroy us. “Whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” The answer is not to hide better, but to come into the light, confess our sin, and experience the cleansing available through the blood of Jesus Christ.Don’t cover it—confess it.
Don’t hide it—forsake it.
Don’t run from God—run to Christ.
