A Good Heart_05
A Good Heart Luke 6:43-45 When Jesus speaks of “heart” in our Scripture passage for today, he is referring to that inner self, the core of one’s being as an intelligent, and emotional self. Sometimes, the storms of life will blow us off course, and we’ll give in to the pressure of living selfish, disobedient lives. Ultimately, we will find ourselves spiritually shipwrecked. What makes God’s Word an anchor for our lives?1. you must read it.
Just as a ship’s anchor does no good unless it is lowered to the bottom, The Word of God can’t encourage you unless you take time to study it. 2. you must meditate on it. Think about the Lord’s promises and how He proved His faithfulness to believers in the past.3. believe what it says.
If you allow yourself to doubt God’s promises, you will never receive all He has for you. 4. apply it to your own life first—not someone else’s. 5. you must obey it completely. Then the anchor will work every single time. Sometimes, the storms of life will blow us off course, and we’ll give in to the pressure of living selfish, disobedient lives. Ultimately, we will find ourselves spiritually shipwrecked.
