When the Soul Signals Troubl..
When the Soul Signals Trouble 03 Psalm 139:23–24; Proverbs 4:23; Revelation 3:15–20 (KJV) This message explores the spiritual “warning lights” that alert us when something’s wrong under the hood of the soul. God often speaks through conviction, stress, strained relationships, or hidden sin — but are we paying attention?I. The Heart Diagnostics: What’s Under the Hood?(Psalm 139:23–24)David invites God to run a full diagnostic on his soul. This is a prayer of spiritual openness and honesty: “Search me… try me… see if there be any wicked way in me.” We need God’s insight to expose what we can’t see ourselves.II. Guard the Gauges: Pay Attention to Inner Warnings(Proverbs 4:23)The heart is the control center of life. Just like a dashboard tells you when the engine is in trouble, your spirit gives warning signs when things are off. Don’t ignore the flashing lights — guard your heart diligently.III. Open the Hood to the Healer(Revelation 3:15–20)
Jesus rebukes lukewarmness but follows it with an invitation: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock.” The solution isn’t hiding the problem — it’s opening up. Let the Master Mechanic in. He doesn’t condemn to destroy, but to restore. When your soul starts flashing warning signs, don’t just drive on. Let God diagnose, guard your spiritual gauges, and invite Christ to do the necessary repair work. He’s knocking — will you open the hood?
