A Message from Yad Vashem and the Word of God

“…and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.”
In 2008, I had the opportunity to visit Jerusalem and stand at Yad Vashem with Pastor John Hagee. One of the most unforgettable places there was The Hall of Names.
Millions of names from Holocaust victims have been carefully preserved. Not statistics. Not numbers. Names.
Each name represents:
• a child
• a mother
• a grandfather
• a family
• a story
• a life
The Nazis tried to erase them.
But somebody remembered their names.
As I stood there, I could not help but think about another Book — a heavenly Book that God Himself keeps.
The world may forget your name… but Heaven never does.
Millions of names from Holocaust victims have been carefully collected and preserved.
Not statistics.
Not numbers.
Names.

One day:
• kings will bow
• nations will fade
• history will close
• eternity will begin
And the greatest question of all will not be how successful we were — but whether our names are written in Heaven through faith in Jesus Christ.
Today ask yourself:
- Is my name written there?
- Have I truly trusted Christ?
- Am I living for earthly recognition or eternal remembrance?
Because God still knows names.
God still calls people personally.
And God still writes names in Heaven today.
