Many people find themselves in that place spiritually.We are all trying to get to a new level in life but it seems we are just short of reaching it.I believe it is because we have some unfinished business with God that needs ti be taken care of.We need to get ourselves tuned up for the next Jericho Battle that just up ahead in our lives.Joshua provides a comparison of an Old Testament situation with the experiences and battles in life that we encounter as born-again Christians.We need to learn the same lessons to help us walk into the “promised land” (spiritually) of our lives.We do not war according to our flesh, or physical senses, but it is by God’s power that we have victory in our lives. Spiritual warfare requires spiritual strategies that achieve spiritual victories.Even as Joshua encountered and defeated enemy strongholds through the power of God, we must also depend on God to overcome rebellious strongholds in our lives.For us, this ancient city represents those things that are entrenched and rooted in our lives that prevent us from going on with God. Before you will ever receive all God has for you, that stronghold must be torn down!we are to yield to Jesus power in every area of our life and that we are to trust Him to secure the victory for us in every battle we fight. For us, we need to learn the truth that we can’t, but He can! We need to come to the place of absolute surrender!
