Zechariah Chapter 5 Bible Study. Zechariah 5:1-11The prophet Zechariah receives a vision of a flying scroll, symbolizing God’s judgment against sin. The scroll measures 20 cubits by 10 cubits and contains curses for thieves and those who swear falsely. This represents the divine accountability for wrongdoing. The vision continues with a woman in a basket, identified as “Wickedness,” being carried away to the land of Shinar, symbolizing the removal of sin from Israel. The passage emphasizes God’s holiness and the ultimate eradication of evil, calling the people to repentance and faithfulness. This study invites reflection on personal and communal accountability in light of God’s justice.
