WHEN THE FUTURE FORGETS GOD

person Pastor Darrell Bailey

WHEN THE FUTURE FORGETS GOD.When the future pushes God out, society may become more advanced—but spiritually empty. This message is a warning straight from the Word of God about a world racing toward control, confusion, and cold-hearted living. Paul warned in 2 Timothy 3:1–5 that in the last days people would become selfish, proud, unthankful, and lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God. We are watching that happen right before our eyes. Technology is growing, morals are falling, and many people have a form of religion without the real power of God in their lives. In Revelation, the Bible warns about a coming system where buying and selling could be controlled through a global mark and digital control. Revelation 13:16–17 reminds us that the world is moving toward a future where freedom, truth, and faith may all be tested. The question is not just whether the world is changing—but whether our hearts are still anchored in Jesus Christ. This message challenges us to ask: “If everything around me became digital tomorrow, would my relationship with God still be real?” The world may forget God, but believers must not forget Him. While the world loses its soul chasing power, money, pleasure, and control, Jesus asked in Matthew 16:26, “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” No technology, government, or system can replace the peace, salvation, and eternal hope found in Christ. The good news is this: no matter how dark the future may seem, Jesus Christ has not changed. Hebrews 13:8 declares, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” Governments change. Cultures change. Technology changes. But Jesus never changes.
