WHEN A NATION FORGETS ITS KNEES. “The Road Away from God Begins One Step at a Time.” Psalm 9:17; 33:12; 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV) America did not become a great nation because of wealth, military power, or political leaders alone. We have been blessed because God has shown His mercy and favor. But the Bible warns that “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” (Psalm 9:17). A nation begins to drift when it stops praying, stops trusting God, and stops following His Word. The road away from God is taken one step at a time—but the road back begins on our knees.
In this message, we will discover that God blesses a people who remain thankful and trust Him. We will also see the danger of a nation that forgets its spiritual foundation and loses its direction. Yet the story does not end in judgment, because God still offers hope. Second Chronicles 7:14 reminds us that if God’s people will humble themselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from their wicked ways, He promises to hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.
This message is more than a challenge for America—it is a call for every Christian. Before our nation can change, our homes must change. Before our homes can change, our hearts must change. Revival does not begin in the White House—it begins in God’s house. It begins when God’s people remember their knees, return to prayer, and lift up Jesus Christ. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD.” (Psalm 33:12)
