THE TRUE SON02
THE TRUE SON. Hosea 11:1; Matthew 2:14–15 KJV Have you ever wondered why God tells the same story twice? It’s because He wants us to see something we missed the first time. In Hosea chapter 11, verse 1, God called Israel His son and brought the nation out of Egypt. But hundreds of years later, Matthew chapter 2, verses 14–15 reveals that God was pointing to Someone far greater—His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Israel was the picture, but Jesus is the fulfillment. Israel failed in the wilderness, but Jesus conquered every temptation. Israel wandered, but Jesus obeyed. God repeats Himself to show us that every promise in the Old Testament finds its perfect fulfillment in Christ.
This message reminds us that the Bible is one complete story of redemption. The same God who called Israel out of Egypt still calls sinners out of the bondage of sin today. Hosea chapter 11, verse 1 and Matthew chapter 2, verses 14–15 prove that God’s Word is perfect, His plan never changes, and Jesus Christ is the True Son who came to accomplish what no one else could. If God has called you out of your “Egypt,” don’t go back. Follow the True Son who leads His people from bondage into victory.
