THE SERVANT WHO WARNED US BE..

person Pastor Darrell Bailey

THE SERVANT WHO WARNED US BEFORE THE STORM.Mark 13:1–37 KJV Mark 13 records Jesus speaking as the faithful Servant who lovingly warns His followers before the storm breaks. This chapter reveals what happens when the world rejects Christ—and what will happen when the King returns in glory.First, the Falling Stones remind us that earthly glory is temporary. What appeared unshakable—the magnificence of the temple—would soon collapse. Jesus teaches that no human achievement, system, or structure can endure apart from God.Second, the Birth Pains explain the pattern of this present age. Deception, conflict, persecution, and suffering are not signs of God’s absence, but reminders that history is moving toward a divinely appointed conclusion. Pressure will rise, yet God remains sovereign, preserving His people and His purposes. Finally, the Watching Servant calls believers to live in continual readiness. Jesus promises His visible return in power and glory, but the timing is known only to the Father. Until that day, the command is not speculation—but faithfulness. His servants are to watch, pray, and remain steadfast.Mark 13 delivers a clear and steady message:The stones will fall. The pressure will rise. The Savior will return. Therefore, God’s people are called to live alert, prayerful, and faithful—trusting the Servant who warned us before the storm and will one day return as King.
