The Prayer that Belongs. Matthew 6:9 National Day of Prayer for the year 2006 is celebrated/ observed on Thursday, May 4th.National Day of Prayer is held on the first Thursday of May. Several million people from different faiths are called to pray for the United States and its leaders. I believe the practice of a personal peace for America and all Christians is from this scripture. An Example to pray is showed to us by Jesus. There are 3 rules for Prayer. 1. Don’t use no meaningless repetitions. V.7 2. Don’t speak much.v.8 3. Trust God. Speak down on your knees. Jesus taught what we all know as the Lord’s prayer.
