In this Bible study, we examine biblical numerics and the fascinating numerical patterns found throughout Scripture. We will also consider the work of nineteenth-century Bible scholar F. W. Grant, the five-fold structure of the Psalms, and the intriguing theory connecting certain Psalm numbers with events in modern Jewish history—including the striking relationship sometimes proposed between Psalm 48 and the establishment of modern Israel in 1948.
But an important distinction must always be maintained: a biblical pattern is not automatically a biblical prophecy. We must never force Scripture to fit a numerical theory.
