Taming the Inner Fire for th..

person Pastor Darrell Bailey

Taming the Inner Fire for the Glory of God.James 1:19–21; Galatians 5:16–25; Romans 12:1–2 KJVvery person carries an inner fire—a drive, a passion, a force that Scripture does not deny but exposes. The question is not whether you have a dragon within. The question is who is training it.James reminds us that unchecked desire conceives sin and gives birth to death. What we refuse to recognize will eventually rule us. The first step toward freedom is not denial, but honest recognition of the dragon within—naming the flesh without excusing it.Galatians then confronts us with a choice of mastery. The flesh and the Spirit are at war, and neutrality is not an option. Victory does not come through suppression or self-discipline alone, but through submission. When the Spirit governs, the fire that once destroyed begins to serve. The dragon bows when Jesus reigns. Finally, Romans calls us beyond restraint into redemption. God does not merely tame the fire—He transforms it. When placed on the altar, surrendered fully, what once fueled sin becomes a living sacrifice for His glory. The dragon is not discarded; it is redeemed and released for God’s purpose. This message declares hope: Jesus is not afraid of your fire. He is ready to train it, govern it, and release it for His glory.
This altar is where the dragon meets the Master.
