Speak Truth Boldly Daniel 5:1-30Daniel 5 is a record of a wild party that went “busted.” The person who busted it up was God. He scribbled some things on the wall that upset a lot of people. In this hour of desperation, God had a man available to meet the need of the moment and to deliver His message to a man that needed to hear it. His faithful testimony for the Lord was known in the royal family. we too, should be ready and available to deliver God’s message, the gospel of Jesus Christ, at a moment’s notice. Faithfulness to the Lord will open up opportunities for you to serve Him, no matter how old you are. Daniel was in his 80’s, but God was not done with him yet. He is not done with you either, no matter how old you may be.Do you love God enough to do what is right, even if it means giving up personal rewards?Daniel does not pull any punches. Belshazzar was another king that needed to learn the lesson that God was “in charge.” We should be just as courageous in telling the truth under pressure.Have you ever tried to tell someone that what they are doing is wrong?Daniel told the king the truth with boldness and courage.Take an honest assessment of your own heart.Where are you committed to your own way?How might choosing the way of humility change that?
