Overshadowing
Overshadowing Luke 9:34-36 KJV Can you remember how wonderful It was the day when your faith was made alive in Jesus Christ? In the words of the apostle Paul, “All things are become new.”. I believe that God wants each of us to see Christ transfigured before our eyes. Just like What happened to Peter, James and John on the mountain that day, he wants each of us to develop a clearer picture a sharper image of who Jesus is. He wants you to know HIM (Jesus), deeply, intimately, personally. Once we are through the gate named Christ and in the Holy of Holies, once we are clothed in righteousness, we don’t have to go back to the outer court or the inner court; we can remain in there. Through His blood, He made the way and made it possible. It is the OVERSHADOWING I can talk to you about Jesus all day long but in order to walk closely with him, you have to experience him for yourself. This begins with a decision to become his follower to ask him into your heart to be your Lord and Savior. Not only was Peter still talking about the power and coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, Peter had also carried it with him his entire ministry. During a season of great Holy Spirit outpouring, in demonstration of the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus, Peter found that the Glory of God was overshadowing Him in healing and deliverance for any who got within proximity of His shadow. In our work we reveal Jesus to the world. In our stillness Jesus reveals himself to us. Not his earthly shadow, that was a distance gauge but God’s overshadow His overshadow in Glory so that people from all regions around Jerusalem brought the sick and the oppressed into the streets for Peter to pass by them Acts 5:14-16.
