Our Inheritance In Christ. Eph. 1:11-14; 2:8 In these verses, Paul turns his attention to the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. In these verses, we will not only see that God has provided a way of salvation and has revealed that plan unto us; we will also see that God has opened the treasure houses of Heaven and He shares everything He possesses with His redeemed people. In other words, the way the Spirit of God works in our hearts here, is but a foretaste of what we will have there. It is just a small, tantalizing taste of what we will enjoy when we arrive home in Heaven. The “earnest” of the Spirit is a down payment with the promise of more to follow!
