Momentarily Forsaken
Momentarily Forsaken Isaiah 54:7-8As a Christian, you are in a tug of war every single day. You may ask, “What do you mean? What are you talking about?” I am talking about the fact that the Lord tugs in one direction, trying to lead you to do what is right and your flesh and selfish will tug you in the opposite direction. Your will is in a constant state of Tug of War. That conflict is illustrated in Isaiah 54:2. Because of our fleshly nature we get out of God’s will. Many Christians struggle with this because the devil brings so much guilt. When we are out of fellowship with God it’s as if your momentarily forsaken because you have sin in your life and it effects your prayers being answered and you get to thinking God has abandoned me. Only Momentarily! You’re a child of the King and you no longer can live the way you did as a sinner. God will get your attention by sickness, finances, heartache until you repent and get back in fellowship with Him. Whenever we rebel against God and refuse to listen to His warning, He must chasten us, and He does it in love. Our Father cannot permit His children to sin and get away with it. But the purpose of His chastening is to bring us to repentance. Are there areas that need to be strengthened? If that is true, then strengthen them. Are there areas where you are wrestling with restraint and playing Tug of War with God? Then surrender that area to Christ.
