Satan has a desire—he wants to destroy holiness, weaken convictions, and make believers comfortable with compromise. He uses devices such as temptation, deception, pride, lust, and distractions to slowly pull people away from God. Then he looks for doors—places where he can gain access into a person’s life through wrong friendships, sinful habits, worldly influences, entertainment, bitterness, or unguarded thoughts.But thank God the lesson does not stop with Satan’s attack—it shows Satan’s defeat. Through Jesus Christ, believers can overcome the enemy by the Word of God, prayer, separation from sin, and surrender to the Holy Spirit.
