Jesus’ disciples ask Him about the signs of His return and the end of the world. He begins by warning them not to be deceived by false Christs and prophets, emphasizing that wars, rumors of wars, famines, and earthquakes are just the beginning of sorrows. These events will intensify as the world draws closer to the return of Christ.This sermon encourages us to look at current global tensions and conflicts not as signs of immediate doom, but as reminders to remain spiritually awake, endure in faith, and prioritize the proclamation of the Gospel. While we do not know the exact timing of Christ’s return, we are called to live with an awareness of the signs and to be prepared for His coming, which will bring an end to the suffering and wars of this world.
