Hats Off to Jesus

person Pastor Darrell Bailey

Hats Off to Jesus. (Philippians 2:9–11; Hebrews 12:1–2; Revelation 19:11–16 – KJV)Who are you really tipping your hat to—yourself, the world, or Jesus Christ? In a world eager for applause and self-glory, this message calls us back to the One who truly deserves our honor—Jesus Christ. It’s not about our achievements or the world’s approval, but about giving rightful glory to the King of Kings.I. The Crown That Belongs to Jesus (Philippians 2:9–11)God has highly exalted Jesus, giving Him a Name above every name. One day, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. He wears the eternal crown—our honor must begin with Him now, not later.II. The Course We Must Run (Hebrews 12:1–2)We’re not spectators—we’re runners in a spiritual race. We must lay aside every weight and sin, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. He endured the cross, despised the shame, and now sits in victory. If He’s our example, we must run with purpose and endurance.III. The Coming Victory Parade (Revelation 19:11–16)This isn’t just about past glory or present struggle—Jesus is coming again. He’ll ride in with all authority, wearing many crowns, leading the armies of heaven in triumph. His robe is dipped in blood, His Name is the Word of God, and on His thigh is written: King of Kings and Lord of Lords.Take off the hat of pride, popularity, and personal gain—tip your hat to Jesus. Let your life, worship, and witness exalt the One who wore the crown of thorns, now crowned with glory forever.
