God’s Isness

person Pastor Darrell Bailey

God’s Isness. Exodus 3:14; Genesis 1:1; John 1:3; Psalm 23:1 KJV Tonight’s message centers on one profound truth: God simply IS. In Exodus 3:14, when God declares, “I AM THAT I AM,” He reveals His eternal, self-existent nature. God is not defined by time, circumstances, or creation—He is the uncaused Cause, the One who has always been and will always be.From Genesis 1:1, we see that God existed before anything else—”In the beginning, God…”—reminding us that He is the source of all life and creation. John 1:3 reinforces this truth: everything that exists was made by Him, and without Him, nothing exists at all. Because God IS, He is everything we need. As Psalm 23 23:1 declares, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” His “isness” means He is present, sufficient, and unchanging in every season of life. God’s “isness” speaks to His completeness—He doesn’t become; He already is. He is our Provider, our Sustainer, our Shepherd, and our Savior. In a world that constantly changes, God remains the same—fully powerful, fully present, and fully enough. Because God IS, we can trust Him completely—yesterday, today, and forever.
