FROM CONFUSION TO TRUTH.Jn 17:17;Revelation 6:1–8 KJV
Today there are churches and denominations everywhere.People are confused and asking: “Why are there so many churches?” “Who is right?” “How did Christianity become so divided?” This Bible study is not about attacking churches or denominations. It is about showing how people slowly moved away from the Word of God and how God has continued to preserve His truth through every generation. Jesus said in John 17:17: “Thy word is truth. “The early church was built on: Jesus Christ, the apostles’ doctrine, prayer, fellowship, and the Word of God. But over time: false teaching entered, traditions replaced Scripture, pride and division grew, and many groups began separating from one another. Some divisions came from false doctrine. Other divisions came from disagreements over church practices, leadership, worship styles, and secondary beliefs. Revelation 6 shows conditions that happen when mankind rejects truth: deception, conflict, spiritual famine, and death. The Four Horsemen are not a history chart of denominations, but they do show what happens when people move away from God’s truth. Even through confusion and division, God still preserved His Word. Throughout history God raised up faithful believers and reformers who pointed people back to the Bible and salvation through Jesus Christ alone. The true Church is not one denomination. The true Church is made up of born-again believers who have trusted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. This study reminds us that: doctrine matters, truth matters, the Bible must remain our authority, and Jesus Christ must stay at the center.The answer is Jesus Christ and the truth of God’s Word.
