Friends That Shape My Future
Friends That Shape My Future . 1 Corinthians 16:13 & 1 Corinthians 15:33 (KJV) [Show Me Your Friends, I’ll Show You Your Faith] In my message tonight, we are reminded that the people closest to us play a powerful role in shaping our spiritual direction. Paul challenges believers to “watch, stand fast in the faith” and warns that “evil communications corrupt good manners.” The friends we choose will either strengthen our walk with Christ—or slowly weaken it.
Every friendship fits into one of three categories:
1. Friends who pull you toward Christ—those who encourage spiritual growth, holiness, and obedience.
2. Friends who push you away from Christ—those who influence you toward compromise, sin, or spiritual drift.
3. Friends who keep you comfortable without Christ—those who make spiritual apathy feel normal and safe.
We are standing at the crossroads of faith and hope, building lives that will echo into eternity. The stakes could not be higher. Eternity hangs in the balance.
Choose Jesus—and choose the friends who help you follow Him.
Reject Jesus—and Hell becomes your eternal home.
Paul’s warning is clear: Who you walk with determines where you end up. May we surround ourselves with people who shape our future by drawing us closer to Christ.
