Bethel Crossroads Baptist Church presented a moving Christmas cantata that retold the timeless story of Christ’s birth through music, scripture, and story. Isaiah 7:14; Isaiah 9:2; Luke 2:7,10–11; John 1:14; John 3:16 KJV Led by Choir Director Rufus Cantrell, with Kathy Cantrell on piano and Dalton Ely on guitar, the choir lifted hearts with beloved carols including Beautiful Star of Bethlehem, Go Tell It on the Mountain, Silent Night, Joy to the World, and O Little Town of Bethlehem. At the heart of the program was a dramatic narration, In the Darkness of a Waiting World, telling the story of the Little Star whose humble light—guided by compassion—shone over the manger where Jesus was born. Through Scripture, storytelling, and song, the message rang clear: true light shines through selfless love, and Christ is the Light of the World. The service rose to a joyful conclusion with O Holy Night, Hark! the Herald Angels Sing, and Come, Let Us Adore Him, followed by a tender finale featuring the children’s choir, led by Amy Ely and Haley Thomas, ringing Christmas bells. It was a powerful reminder that the Savior has come—Christ the Lord, our hope and joy.
