America at the Crossroads. Proverbs 14:34;2 Chron. 7:14 KJV On this Independence Day, we pause not only to celebrate America’s birth, but to reflect deeply on where our nation stands in the eyes of God. From 1776 to 2025—249 years—America has been blessed, battled, and built by both faith and failure. The message of this sermon is clear: We are at a crossroads—between righteousness and ruin, between revival and reproach.
Proverbs 14:34 reminds us that righteousness exalts a nation, not its military, economy, or politics. But sin, national and personal, brings disgrace. 2 Chronicles 7:14 offers God’s timeless solution: if His people will humble themselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from wickedness, then God will hear, forgive, and heal.
This sermon challenges the church to stop pointing fingers at Washington and start bending knees in worship and repentance. We trace our national blessings back to spiritual roots, yet we confront how sin—moral confusion, rebellion, and spiritual apathy—threatens to bring judgment.America doesn’t need more laws—it needs more Lord. The path forward isn’t found in pride but in prayer, not in rebellion but in repentance, not in politics but in the power of God.Today, I ask: Will America choose the path of righteousness and revival—or continue down the road of sin and shame? As believers, let us rise up to be the remnant who calls this nation back to the Cross—before we pass the point of no return. This is more than a celebration—it’s a call to intercession, confession, and national dedication.
