Deuteronomy 7:6-16 KJV For decades, Christians in China have endured persecution, harassment, and restriction, yet in the face of opposition the church has not diminished but grown—powerfully illustrating that God remains faithful to His people and His promises no matter the circumstances. This same faithfulness is at the heart of Deuteronomy 7, where Moses reminds Israel that they were chosen not because of their strength or size, but simply because God loved them and kept the promises He made to their ancestors, proving that His faithfulness spans generations and is rooted in His unchanging character. God’s covenant loyalty is not temporary or conditional like human commitment; it is enduring, extending “to a thousand generations,” yet it also calls for a response, as His faithfulness includes both blessing for obedience and justice for rebellion.
